PAINTING over BLUE!

Stephen & I have been in our NEW home for about 2 months now and we decided it was time fore some changes! The previous owners had it freshly professionally painted before we moved in. Now, this gesture is VERY NICE, but sometimes has me wondering... "Why the heck did they not ask me the COLORS I wanted"! Yes, I know it sounds a little of selfish, but think about who has to live in the house...(ME)! :) So remember for those who are selling your house... DONT PAINT IT FIRST! Just throw in some cash and let them pick the colors THEY WANT! (just a little advice)

Anyhow, Stephen & I decided to take matters in our own hands and paint our OFFICE a neutral color, "Sensational Sand"! Ok.. I have to admit part of the reasoning behind my purchase was the freakish attraction I had to it's NAME! <3 IT! ha

Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into! It has been quite the process getting the office the color we want. You see.. the previous owners decided to paint this room blue... not just regular blue or baby blue but BBBBBBLLLLLLUUUUUUEEEEEE! It took 3 coats of KILZ primer to cover this BLUE MONSTER!

And, for all those who know me well... know I only like to do things for about 20 minutes and I'm DONE! Ok... so try to imagine my attitude while painting a room over and over in WHITE PRIMER!! R U SERIOUS?? You put all this time in to painting a wall WHITE and never seeing a COLOR for hours! I was going out of my mind! All I kept hearing was Stephen saying FOCUS TASHA.. DON'T QUIT... WE ARE NOT QUITER'S! Ugh.....whateve! The things you find out about each other being stuck in a room for hours full of fumes! ha -ha I guess I can't talk tooo bad! He is my partner 4 life! :)

Instead I called my MAMA down the next day! HA At this time the primer was dry and it was time to paint the REAL COLOR, "SENSATIONAL SAND"! whew... FINALY! We did AWESOME till yes.... you guessed it I WAS DONE, or I WANTED to be DONE! But.. I had Mom saying the same thing Stephen said, FOCUS TASHA... You can't QUIT IN THE MIDDLE of it! your almost DONE! ugh... I swear I don't understand those two! Luckily.. Stephen my HERO came in from work and finished it for us! :) Man.. I tell you what!!! PAINTING IS HARD WORK! I'm NOT A FAN! and.. I DON'T plan on doing any other rooms! :)

But.. I am kinda proud of THE ONLY ROOM I WILL PAINT in this house! HA :)

Why is it...

That we find something ON SALE and tend to think we should buy MORE OF IT! I mean seriously... why can't we just accept the fact we can save money RIGHT THEN! Instead we get this urgency instinct to BUY BUY BUY X3! It's ridiculous!
Today I walked in ULTA to get a can of Sebastian (heaven forbid I RUN OUT), and I see a lady who beat me to the product squatting down looking at the price and repeating to herself over & over "THAT's SO CHEAP, WOW That's SO CHEAP", as she was grabbing 4 cans of it! I suddenly began getting excited then squatted down with her and saw the SALE SIGN for 5.99! I was secretly inside doing summersaults and jumping for joy, then I stopped and thought to myself?? Should I just be HAPPY ABOUT this sale and save 6 BUCKS or should I just pretend it wasn't on sale and get 2 cans, or should I just get 4 cans and save myself the SALE for the next to times I come in?? I just kept going and going?? WHY DO WE DO THIS! SERIOUSLY??? :)

The lord is my Passion and I will continue to move FORWARD in what I believe and use my knowledge and love I have in God to bring others to him.
I want my life to shine so BRIGHT with HIM, because of all he has done in my life and still continues to do today.
I must keep stretching for more of GOD and never feel I have completely filled my cup and stop searching for MORE! I need to use these words in my everyday life.

So many people believe in him, but do they believe he is to be glorified and honored on a everyday basis? I must give him everything he deserves by the choices I make in the 24 hours of the day.
I can't wait to spend eternity with him in Heaven. The reason I chose to follow, honor, and praise him is because of who he is and what he stands for!

Given it's only the SECOND DAY....

but I LOVE MY NEW JOB! :) I love the WORK, the people, and just pretty much everything about it! :) I love dealing with money and numbers, and this is the PERFECT job for that. Don't get me wrong it's not always easy for me, but I think once I do it OVER & OVER again it will become NORM to me! I'm real excited about this JOB! Seriously.. I don't know why I never did this BEFORE! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! ha
I even got my badge today!!! Ya ya... to most people thats no BIG DEAL, but you have no idea how long I've always wanted one of these things! Stephen has always had one with his job, and I'm constantly playing with it, and saying I WANT ONE!!! Well.. today I GOT ONE! When Stephen got home I went right up to him and said... "Woooo I got something today that I've always WANTED" He said, "I can only imagine"! Then I showed him and he said, "HA-HA you got a BADGE! Do you get to swipe it?" I said, "YEP", cause he also knew I wanted to do that as well! ha I think this experience pretty much made my DAY today!
So... you ready to see this thing! I mean I'm PRETTY IMPORTANT NOW!

The NEW BANK TELLER : Miss Natasha Ross

I started my NEW JOB this morning, and I LIKED IT! :) I think its exactly what I've been looking for. I'm training with a nice girl for two days, then they will THROW me out there on my own. Well not really, but I will observe with my eyes for 1 more day then for the next week I actually work with customers but have a "BABYSITTER" watching over my shoulder! WHICH I AM SOO THANKFUL FOR! I love babysitters! :) Especially after seeing EVERYTHING I have to learn! OMG.. it's so overwhelming, but so FUN! haha I hope I can get it.. ha They just got a new computer system and its a bit confusing to learn that on top of all the money handling stuff, but I KNOW I WILL GET IT! It was only my first day! I took 3 1/2 pages of NOTES!! LOT LOT of INFORMATION!

SIX FLAGS FOR LIFE! :)

Six Flags now has a NEW DEAL that we got suckered into this year! :) Take a look at this wonderful orange plastic cup Stephen is holding. This is there NEW 12.99 plan of the YEAR! No... we didn't stop their.. I BOUGHT ONE TOO, no sharing for us! At first I thought... wow, we've got to be the biggest idiots, but come to find out EVERYONE was doing it! HA-HA There was not ONE person walking around without one of those STUPID ORANGE CUPS! ha
ALL YOU DO is purchase a 12.99 orange cup and you get FREE REFILLS all day through the park (water or any coke), and trust me you need SOMETHING TO DRINK.. it's feels like 110 degrees out there! I would have to say it turned out pretty good, except for there other ORANGE CUP money making deal! ha
You ARE NOT ALOUD to take that orange cup with you in ANY ROLLAR COASTER lines. They STOP you at the front of the line and make you pay ANOTHER DOLLAR to put it in a locker for that roller coaster. Ok.. so not bad.. just a dollar, but when you finished riding the coaster you have to get it out and travel to the next coaster that ALSO makes you put your ORANGE CUP in their coaster locker, which is ANOTHER DOLLAR! ha-ha! So you tell me... depending on how many roller coasters you plan to ride... IS THIS A GOOD IDEA FOR YOU?? HA (not six-flags), we know its a GREAT idea for them! MONEY SUCKERS! HA

Mmmm... Well seeing how my sister in PREGO (we are so excited)! she craves sweets! So.. I decided to bake her some cupcakes, because she is coming to see me this weekend and I want to keep her HAPPY! ha :)
My whole family is coming in this weekend and we are going to SIXFLAGS! I'm so excited and can't wait to see them!

Grannie's Recipe

Well.. every THANKSGIVING I get to head to HOUSTON and visit my Granny and Papa! I get the opportunity to eat my GRANNIE'S AMAZING FOOD! She is one of the BEST COOKS EVER! One of my favorites is her MASHED POTATOES! So.. I got this brave idea yesterday that I would try and make those special tatoes for dinner! I called her up to get the recipe.. & of course to find out she really doesn't have a recipe.... it's all about her "SPECIAL TOUCH", but she talked me through the basics and encouraged me to add just enough of what I think! So.. with Grannie's advice and my new cooking techniques they TURNED OUT YUMMY, so you know that deserves BRAGGING RIGHTS, & Stephen was just right outside cooking the chicken...SO I RAN OUT SIDE AND YELLED.. THEY TASTE JUST LIKE GRANNIES!!!! He was like,"Oh man... your on cloud 9 once again!" But.. we all know he was like... "YES, MY WIFE CAN COOK"!
