Well... It was the "Annual Dillard Sale" yesterday my mom and I made sure to make an appearance to the shoe department. This year it went a lot smoother than the past. I believe it was because we chose to praise Jesus first. ha That's right, New years fell on a SUNDAY this year and all the SHOE-LOVIN-SINNERS were at Dillard's at 9am waiting at the door to get MY SHOES!! hahah TOTALLY KIDDING!It looks like a lot of people were dealing with the same issue as us, we ran into another "mother-daughter" pair who said she picked out her shoes at 10 and left all her boxes in her moms hands and rushed to church. ha Hey a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to get the BEST DEAL on shoes! HA

So on the these babies... the detail was difficult to catch with my camera skills! HA So I took 2 photos. I loved these because they have a short heel that you can walk in for a long period of time. They also have the cutest design on top. These are way cute in person. Hard to see in picture.

I have to give a BIG THANK YOU TO MY MOM for pretty much giving me 2 pairs of shoes (one being my absolute favorite). :)

Seeing we wear the same size, we ran into a small problem, where they didn't have 2 of the same shoe. :( BUT my mom is SOO SWEET, she let me have them showing no regret (but I know deep down she was a little sad to let them go) She has always been that type of person and I LOVE HER FOR IT! I will definitly have to share this year!! SHE ROCKS! :) BTW.. she picked out all these shoes and MORE...(She has a GREAT EYE for shoes).

Overall I would say God blessed us with a GREAT LADY who helped us for hours searching for the right fit, a FUN TIME, and saved us some of the CUTEST SHOES!

It was a fantastic party and worth every minute of planning! I will admit at first I wasn't up for getting everything together.. but I am so glad we did! It was actually REALLY FUN to do! Everyone was excited and making Stephen and I excited to share the news! We are so excited to announce we are having our first precious baby..... ??????

My nephew on the other hand... PROUD IN BLUE is so excited and told me he prays for my baby boy every night before he goes to sleep! :)

Thinking Christmas

Well the past two weeks The Last Straw has been putting on "HOW TO DECORATE" your mantle, book shelves, and tree classes. I have been so lucky to get to go this year. My mother-n-law Ginger has allowed this to happen this year! We are having a good time learning and thinking about our houses for Christmas! HAHA :)
I wish I would of got a picture of us! Well be sure to see lots when we get to DECORATING! :) IT will be here before you know it!

The Mantle day Ginger was not able to attend, so she told me to invite a friend to go with me. My good friend Heather came in from Minnesota and was so sweet to go along with me! :) We were a little embarrassed getting this picture, but we did get some other great pictures of the stuff to help us decorate come Christmas!

Holy cow!! I think everyone in our family has a birthday in OCTOBER! AHHHHHHHHHHH
or should I say PAAAAAAARRRRRTTTTTTTTTYYYYYYYY! hahahah

Let's start out with the first! My granddad's birthday October 2nd.
It was his BIG 75!!

I think the funniest moment about his birthday was when Ashley and I gave him a present from the both of us. We even gave him a IN-PERSON SINGING CARD!! :) We said... wait wait!! Granddad before you open your gift you have to get the CARD! He started looking like crazy. We said... no granddad this is a SPECIAL CARD!! Then Ashley and I busted out singing happy birthday and in unison we ended it with, "WE LOVE YOU, ASHLEY AND TASHA!"
Then like 10 minutes later our husbands SPEAK UP and say... um.. ya that gift was from us too! HAHA WE FORGOT ALL ABOUT THEM! How terrible are we! HAHA

WE REALLY DO LOVE YOU GRANDDAD!! :)

Number 2... Mr. Lee Gunter! He is Stephen and I's brother-n-law! HE is married to Annie (Stephen's sister)

He got totally hooked up with the COFFEE for his office! :)

number 3 is MARK! :) This is Stephen's uncle who we get to see every Sunday! :) He turned 49 this year!

He loves wrestling, so Ginger(Stephen's mom) got him this AWESOME cake with a wrestling BELT! haha I LOVE IT!

He got lots of FUN GIFTS!! His favorite... FIGHT GUYS!! He knows all their names! Oh.. and Joe likes to hook him up with the TECH gear, but I think Mark secretly likes the LONGHORNS! HAHA

He even passed out PARTY FAVORS! Mine had a FUN DIP! my favorite!

Last but not least is my HUBBY, STEPHEN!! He turned 31 yesterday! I always tease him, he is getting OLD! HAHA

OH wait.. I can't leave off his SPECIFIC REQUESTED BIRTHDAY ITEM! Yes.. he wanted this!! haha

Yes.. it's true! I WROTE THE LETTERS... and YES.. I SPELLED HIS NAME WRONG! HAHA WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS I THINKING! We have been married for almost 3 years and I SPELL HIS NAME with a V?? what?? Poor Stephen! I felt so bad, but didn't change it! HA HA
He then said... that's it! You will be refereed to as TOSHA from now on! HAHA

Then.. we celebrated Stephen's birthday with my side of the family today at Ronnie's Burger! :)

This year... I made my hubby a CUPCAKE CAKE! :)

Sweet Neighbors

How sweet are our neighbors! This week our neighbors brought us over a plant, pumpkin bread, and plates and napkins. It was presented SO CUTE! I loved it all! I ate like half the loaf when I closed the door! OMG... it was so GOOD! We got SWEET NEIGHBORS, and knowing they are GREAT BAKERS makes it even better! :)

So we hear after you have kids your LIFE CHANGES! Let's hope for the better, but sometimes the things you used to do, turn into KID THINGS! HAHA

Stephen and I love to GO GO GO! We like to do lots of activities. We love to hang out TOGETHER and come up with things that keep us UN-BORED! haha I think that is why we waited to have kids. We just enjoyed being MARRIED and IN LOVE for 3 years!

We hear it all changes when that little kid arrives. We think we understand it, but I really don't think we have a CLUE! HAHA Soon enough we will find out. :)

FOR NOW.. we are going to GO GO GO!
This weekend we had a luau, and really enjoyed it. We have a Hawaiin family in our church that partnered up with the veterans in Wichita Falls to raise money by having a luau with great food and entertainment. Kaylani, Danny, and Josh all performed in the routines and dances. They all really got into it and were AWESOME TO WATCH! You could tell they worked really hard to get this event ready. There costumes were GREAT! Kaylani's mom Ladonna made all of them and you could tell the dancers LOVED wearing them because they were so CUTE! Overall the Lagat family put a lot of work in this luau and it REALLY SHOWED!

They even made the PAPER! :)

You will see in the next few pictures, everyone that was sitting at our table, except Diana. She wasn't in the PICTURE MOOD that night. :) I don't blame her.. I'm not always either! SHOCKING I KNOW! HAHA

We also went to the RANGER GAME SUNDAY AFTERNOON! Except on our way we got the message the game was delayed until MONDAY! WHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTT!! haha
You should of been in the car. There was a moment of silence as we were still driving to Arlington. hahah Finally someone said, shouldn't we turn around?

The next day on Monday we tried it again and left around 11am and ate at BABES CHICKEN at 1:30 and made it to the game by 3:00.

This was taken on Sunday. I didn't take one on Monday because I LOOKED THE EXACT SAME! HAHA YES.. before you judge!! I bet the entire STADIUM WORE THE SAME CLOTHES THEY WORE ON SUNDAY! HAHAH You sill had to wear your RANGER GEAR! HAHA

We also had a Birthday this same weekend, but I will post it later with the OTHER BIRTHDAY we are going to TODAY! Man.. I tell you what, I LOVE OCTOBER! WEATHER, FOOD, and ALL THE EVENTS!!

Here are a few book-type things I have found important in my life right now. :) I thought I would share with you in case you might be interested. :)

1. MY BIBLE - The Message
This is one of the most coolest things I have bought lately. This is not just any ordinary bible, but it's the PERFECT BIBLE FOR ME! :) Don't worry it is still GODS WORD and is the BIBLE, but it's just a new translation called the "MESSAGE". I'm a person that is not much of a reader(sad to say) and I know how important it is to know the WORD OF GOD so it can encourage you, build your faith, and get your ready for the battle field(the world), when satan comes nockin' at your door every chance he gets.
The Message is VERY EASY to read and you will find yourself intensely wanting to read the next story in minutes. You feel as if your comprehension skills have magnificently improved! HAHA Better yet, you ACTUALLY READ IT and are filled with God's word. I just love love love it and I wanted to share it to those that find it tough to read the bible. :)

A couple of things extra...
YOu can ADD YOUR NAME TO IT FOR FREE if your purchase is at MARDELS! You can do the silver or gold script, or choose the imprint(I think they call it, which is what I chose. This is my first bible with NATASHA ROSS on it! HAHA They have always been Natasha Tippit, my maiden name. :)

Ok this next picture, I want you to pay attention to the print. I really looked at the different "messages" to find one that is easy on the eyes. You can even say I bought the one for an "old person" or a "little kid"! haha I'm telling you, I have to take certain extremes to get me to READ! HAHA
You will notice the ENLARGED PRINT and s p a c e s in the text. The message does not have two columns, WHICH I LOVE. You will also see big indents before the next story. I could go ON and ON about this translation! HAHA

P.S. Yes.. I know!! I get a little HIGHLIGHTER HAPPY! I guess I'm an A.D.D. reader too! HAHA

2. BABY DIARY - my sister-n-law and mother-n-law got me

So cute.. it even has a brown-headed cartoon girl on the front! HAHA :) <3

This is the inside. It has our due date listed and our first sonogram we got at our first real Dr. visit on September 14th.

It helps you keep track of your water and food intake,types of exercise,and how you feel that day. I think it will be great for dr. appointments and great just to look back on one day.

It also allows you to keep extra information or things you would like to remember about that week during your pregnancy. Pretty cool it you ask me! :)

3. Pregnancy Calendar - my sister and my mom got me this! :)

I love this because you can keep track of your important dates with STICKERS! HAHA From day to day you will always remember what happened. You also get to see the size of your baby that week, at the top of each page it gives you specific information that will happen with you during those weeks. SO COOL!

Well I finally figured out how to hack into my own blog after forgetting my password!:) I know it's been FOREVER since I have blogged and even though my last post was pretty good I have had people stop me everywhere saying, "I'm SICK of the VIDEO ALREADY"!! Would you please post something NEW! haha
Well... there have been several occasions I wanted to blog about, but either couldn't get in the mood, find the time, or figure out my stink'in password! UGH!! haha

TODAY IS THE DAY GUYS... and I think it all worked out for a reason! I have BIG NEWS!! I'm PREGO!!! YES... 3 MONTHS PREGNANT! My due date is APRIL 20th! Just 2 DAYS after my very own B-day! haha

He is SO GOOD! :)

Anyone who really knows the True Tasha Tippit Ross knows my heart and passion for GOD and singing. I have grown up singing my entire life. I have learned and been inspired from none other....My Mama! Not only did I basically live in church growing up, but I watched my mom sing in front of me every Sunday.... on stage, in choir, singing solos, leading choirs, and leading praise and worship. It started from there then a burning fire from God filled my soul and guided me in my own direction. I have struggled in what direction to go in my life with my music and have had many conversations with God about my own dreams and for his dreams in my life. I would have to say my granddads "DREAM" messages get me every-time I hear them(he has many)! I know God is talking directly to me.. because I can't get away from them! HAHA God works in funny ways and I will always ALWAYS walk in his direction no matter what comes my way.

I heard this song on a CD a friend (Amy) gave us a few months ago. I listened and listened to it and sang it to stephen and my mom several times in the car. I was just BEYOND TOUCHED as I listened to her sing this song. It's not even so much her voice but the power of God you feel while listening to it.

The other big thing I loved about it was knowing how many people SHE IS ABLE to reach in her shoes while singing it. So many people look up to her where she is at in her life and I love how she used it for God's glory. I love watching this video because not only is God working through her to touch her fans lives, but he's using her to reach her friends & peers in the same career path. We have seen it all... what hollywood can do to you and how hard it can be on your life... but I love in this video how everyone is sitting in peace while she sings this. You can literally SEE God moving through those people and in that building. This just blows my mind and touched me so deeply and I JUST HAD TO SHARE! :)

EASTER BIRTHDAY PARTY

Yes this year I came up with an EASTER THEME for my 26th birthday! I love themes for birthday's!! :) Themes bring the fun to PARTIES. I have not had an Easter Birthday since I was about 9. I had it on Matterhorn in WICHITA FALLS with an easter egg hunt and a bunny pinata. For some reason it feels like it took 17 years for it to fall close to Easter again!! :) I really dont know if that is true... but it seemed like a great theme to choose this year. :)

The Big 26 - Cupcakes were a big deal for me this year... no telling what next year will be! :)

So lets talk CAKE BALLS! :) MY FAVORITE! If you follow me on Facebook then you know my obsession for Starbux cake-balls. Well to be honest I have always been a huge fan of cake-balls since I found BAKERELLA'S blog and website... you know, the lady that made it BIG after being on Martha Stewart, for her CAKE-POPS! After seeing her... I FELL IN LOVE!! I even had them at one of my wedding showers (2 1/2 years ago).

So.. why not for my 26th BIRTHDAY?? RIGHT? shoot... why not cake-balls and cake-pops! :) It all started at 9:30 the next morning till noon when the party started! I had to ice the cupcakes, make the cake-balls, and make the cake-pops all before NOON!! AHHHH

Birthday Blog 1

Yes... I have many special memories I want to share with you about this 26th birthday! :) I am going to start with Day 1! FRIDAY NIGHT!

I arrived in Wichita Falls (at my moms house around 11pm). I was tired.. not really feeling to hott... but knew I needed to started on my baking for my NOON B-day party the next day. So I went to work by baking my "new recipe" cupcakes (thanks JG). I posted the recipie on the blog before this one. You can check it out if you want.

So I waited.... and waited....

It got late... and finaly 1/2 of my red velvet/chocolate chip cookie cupcakes were completed! :)

But.. my sister insisted we have 24 cupcakes!! She said everyone will need 2 cupcakes! grrr... she's also the same sister who FACETIME'd me while I did all the baking! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Nah... she was gonna help if I started earlier... It is now 1:00 AM! It was time to bake the other 12!

So I waited again.... AND FINALLY 1:30!

They were completed everyone!! Except the CHEESCAKE FROSTING (which will be added minuted before the party) BOY WAS I TIRED! my eyes look terrible! Make up smeared and everything! Hahaha

Oh did I mention.. my sister is watching Bye Bye Birdie... at this time now! HAHA Thanks ASH!! :)

Anywhow... I finally finished what I needed to do for FRIDAY night! My next mission was CAKE BALLS starting at 9:30AM on Saturday! SO.. I thought I better get a few hours in!

"Pass-Over " the rolls please....

Last night our Bible Study got together and re-enacted somewhat of the PASSOVER! We brought out all the YEAST things a little later on in the evening. ha ha Back in the day...I think the "Leaven" (hope I'm saying that right) had to be all cleaned out before the passover. So.. yes I think we were all a little skeptical about their being edible food present... but we all knew Chick-fil-a was right around the corner... right??

No... it was FUN!! It's always fun getting together with this group! You end up laughing the entire night! This was a fun experiece even if 1/2 of you flaked out before the night! HA (kidding...again).

Loren was able to have her grandmother come and explain some of the religious traditions that were done during the Passover. It was neat having someone explain it all. :)

We even had the chance to try some WONDERFUL new things! I think these things are easier if your not a picky eater... but there wasnt any SEA FOOD present so I did pretty good! (pass the rolls please) HA

Over All... we had a GREAT NIGHT! I love hanging out with this group! When's the next MOVIE NIGHT! :)

New Favorite CUPCAKES

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees Line 24 muffin cups with paper liners.
Beat 3 eggs in a large bowl with an electric mixer to break up. Add the cake mix, water, and canola oil; continue beating for 2 minutes on medium speed. Spoon into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each 1/3 full. Place a frozen cookie dough ball (Pillsbury) on the top center of each cupcake and fill 2/3 over cookie dough.
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the cake portion of the cupcake (not the cookie dough ball) comes clean, about 19 minutes. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.

and ICE away! :) I used chocolate cake with cream cheese icing.

FUTURE ATTEMPTS:
You can use strawberry cake with sugar cookie... red velvet cake with chocolate cookie and creak cheese icing. Oh.. i just can't wait to experiment MORE! :) I believe one of these will be at my BIRTHDAY PARTY!

1st/2nd Birthday Present!

Well... had to share my 1st/2nd birthday present!! It was from my hubby... picked out by the birthday girl! :) HA
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! The reason I call it my 1st/2nd gift is because about a month ago I bought a NEW swimsuit and I told Stephen it was going to be my BIRTHDAY gift... until I ran across this! HA I will try to stick to only these 2 things! HAHA It better hurry up and get here! HAHA

Well... there has been more purchases since I took this last picture.... but I wanted to share with you guys what cute stuff you can get from TARGET! It's kind of like my purse/bag fetish... I LOVE LOVE the HOLIDAY section at target! I love the cookie sheets, icing, stupid cups and plates, decorations, plastic containers.. I LOVE IT ALL! HA

I have this IDEA and PICTURE in my head... and I always pray it turns out. There is always something that doesn't work just like I wanted or thought... but sometimes you just have to go with it! :)

I say this... because I'm always saying, "ooooo.. I want this and that.. and Oh.. I REALLY WANT THAT!!" hahah It's just apart of me. I'm always wanting something. I am probably the most easy person to buy for, cause I LIKE EVERYTHING! I'm never the type to just go BUY what I want! I never can make a decision... and I feel like I shouldn't spend that money... so I just move on to the next thing. :) HA HA

But.. I will say about 1 to 2 times a year I get in this really weird mode..(I'm sure my family has heard me say)..." I have not spent anything in a LONG TIME! I just need to go and buy it and stop stressing over it. JUST DO IT... it's just MONEY TASHA!! I should enjoy it now."

Then right after I go back to my non-spending mode!

Last week I came up with this BRIGHT idea to meet my sister at the airport the following week for dinner since she had a 2 hour layover. Little did I know it fell on my school's longest EVER STAFF MEETING. Let's just say we were pushing time here, but in my head it ALL JUST HAD TO WORK OUT! HA HA

We picked her up around 6 and she had to be back at 6:45! YES I KNOW... not much time! But... again in my head we could exit the airport, enter traffic, find a restaurant, order food, EAT FOOD, then find our way back in to DALLAS TRAFFIC, enter back in the airport and find her terminal. (This ALL to be done w/ NO DISASTERS) HAHA really?? (WE all lost a year of our lives today)

And poor Stephen knew FROM THE START... this trip was going to turn out like this. He was so worried about being the one responsible for Ashley missing her flight! haha.. but of course he went along with it! <3 HIM!

Totally kidding.. Some how out of all that madness we got her back to the airport at 6:50 and she ran inside and they told her the flight was running LATE! HAHAHA

Ya.. thats our luck... but it always goes the way you don't plan for. So I'm just glad we got her back in time. :)
I got word about an hour ago she has safely landed... WHAT A MEMORY TO ALWAYS HAVE! HA HA

Stephen had training today from 8-5 which left me all alone. :( No worries... Stephen and I had planned for me to drive up to where he was around 5 to eat dinner at Hard 8 BBQ (Stephen's favorite place).

Around 3pm I headed that way, but stopped by Grapevine Mills to look around.

I'm sure glad I did cause I found my FRIST BIRTHDAY PRESENT from Stephen.....

Yes... it's a little early, but I have a hard time finding swim suits, and this one from Victoria Secret was HOT PINK! I couldn't pass it up!

Then I strolled into Aerie, because I had a gift card to SPEND! :) Love G.C's... even if it's to a store I usually don't shop at. It gives the opportunity to try something new. I found some really cute things. Some girl things I will just keep to myself. haha

Then.. I found me these AMAZING COMFY SHORTS! OMG.. I think come spring I might be in these ALL THE TIME! They are soooo comfortable.... very casual.. but still cute. I'm so exited to wear them.

Then came 5pm and it was time to meet Stephen at HARD 8 BBQ. Stephen beat me over there and called me and said, "BAD NEWS MY FRIEND, It closed at 3PM". WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT??????????

SO CHANGE OF PLANS ( which ended up being better anyway)... we headed over to the Shops of Legacy to find something better to eat. We found Main Street Bakery which had the PERFECT PATIO. I got this yummy french onion soup, and a piece of Italian cream cake.

THEY HAVE THE BEST CAKES.. and HUGE PIECES! HAHA I had a FUN DAY! :)

The best part of it... I'm off for tomorrow! THANK YOU PRESIDENTS!

It all started on FRIDAY for me! :)

My school celebrated Valentine's Day on Friday. We had our party with cookies and hearts and valentines. To make the day even better.. my sweet hubby sent me flowers to school in a heart vase! awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Then Saturday... we planned our BIG VALENTINE DINNER at
So we got all FANCIFIED and headed out...

But BEFORE.... I had stephen take my picture to see if I needed to change shirts! HAHA (Have you ever done this??)

Out of all the restaurants we have been too, Al Biernat's is definilty the BEST BY FAR! We went there last year for Valentines Day and had an amazing time.

We always talk about it, and compare it with the other restaurants. I was so thankful to have the chance to go back. Once again.. we had great food and service. We plan on making it a tradition. :)

Then on SUNDAY....
I checked the mail and received MY 1st VALENTINE from my MOM & DAD! :) THEY ROCK!! TOTALLY LOVE THOSE TWO!

Then MONDAY "THE REAL DEAL LOVE BUG DAY" came...

We exchanged our gifts... but we always do this without talking.. haha We just leave it in a spot and then bring it up later! HAHA I think we both feel uncomfortable about it... haha I can't believe I just admitted this to the world! DONT JUDGE! HA HA

How sweet is he... he got me 2 CARDS!!! A lot of chocolate and renewed my US WEEKLY for another year. I got him a card,candy, and a good Ol' country jam to listen to in his truck. He wanted the new double Jamey Johnson CD. :) You don't see it in this picture because it's ALREADY playin in his truck! HA

For dinner we went to BABES CHICKEN with the help of my mom and dad's Valentine-- SOO YUMMY!

Then around 8 we went and saw "Just Go With It".. I knew it was going to be a GREAT movie when I saw the pre-views. It was so funny... I totally recommend it. I LOVED WATCHING Adam and Jen on camera together! They work so well together. GO SEE IT

After coming across a new CUTE INSPIRING BLOG --> ( Happily Ever After ) I have discovered this AMAZING APP and WEBSITE that tracks your calorie intake and workouts... LIVESTRONG I have been super addicted to this for 3 days now. HAHA ( I know... not very long)... but I have been doing really good on watching what I eat. It's amazing how you CARE more when you realize what you are putting in your mouth. :)

To start it out.. I went to the website and I put in my age, weight (SCARY), and my daily activity (that burns calories).... and then it spits out this MAGICAL daily calorie goal. It has a lot of restaurants /foods already programed in. You click on it and admit you ATE it and walaa... It calculates it for you. You also have the opportunity to add your workouts (burned calories) throughout the day too. There is a lot more info on website.... I plan on figuring out as I go.

Today... I started out with 2 wheat organic waffles and some berries and whip cream. (275 calories)

Now.. my first thought would be BUTTER AND AUNT JEMIMA SYRUP and call it good... but today I checked calories... and saw The syrup was (210) calories for 1/4 cup... that is like eating 2 more waffles... haha So i went another rout and used my frozen berries 3/4 cup for 60 calories and 15 calories for 2 tablespoon whip cream! And... it honestly TASTED BETTER!
Sorry... I was so proud of myself for this.. I HAD TO SHARE!

Well It all started when I was 7 months old. :) HA That is the age my mom decided to pierce my ears. I recall many times my mom and I sitting in our car in the drive way and her making me go BACK INSIDE to put earrings in my ears before we could leave the house. HA HA (SAD.. but totally TRUE)

Earrings are a girls best friend.. or MINE! I love buying earrings and earrings bought for me. I like BLINGY, UNIQUE, and BIG! Can't go wrong with these! :)

100th Day of School

MAN OH MAN.. what a CRAZY FUN day at school today! I SURVIVED!!!

We celebrated the 100th day of school. It has taken us a while to get there.. but we made it! WHEW...

After being off yesterday due to SNOWY WEATHER my friends were ready to party today. Anything and everything we did today was about the number 100.

One of my favorite activities to do was draw yourself the way you think you will look when you are 100 YEARS OLD. They made wrinkles on their faces, put grey hair on their heads!!! BUT..... MY FAVORITE... THE WINNER OF THE DAY... that made me laugh so hard....HAHAHHAHA

Her mom sent me an email later in the afternoon saying she said she would of added flowers... but there wasn't enough time. HA HA OMG... she is such cutie patootie! SHE MAKES ME LAUGH ALL THE TIME! I JUST LOVE HER!

Well with all the weather we have been planning to have Bible Study at our house for 2 weeks now. Luckily we were able to have it this week. One more day.. and we would have had to cancel AGAIN! :(

My motto is "FOOD BRINGS COMFORT". I want people to feel comfortable at my house so I break out the baking tools. It really gives me an excuse to bake chocolate and drink root beer. HA HA

These are from my new BABY CAKES machine I got from my sister, brother-n-law and niece & nephew for Christmas! They know me so well... Anything pink that bakes is my kind of thing! HA

There's 13 of us now... so we have to be creative to make room and find chairs! HAHA But I love to decorate and organize so it was no problem!

MEAL 2 - I'm going OUT TONIGHT! :)

I've done my share of cooking this week! I give me the BEST WIFE AWARD, now it's time TO GO OUT TO EAT ON THE TOWN!

MANICOTTI - THIS WAS A FABULOUS ITALIAN MEAL!!!

Ingredients:
1 box Manicotti shells
1 lb. ground beef
Italian seasonings to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 c. cottage cheese
1/2 of a large onion, chopped
1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
1-2 c. shredded mozzarella

Directions:

- In a large pot bring water to a boil. Pour in a little bit of salt and olive oil so the shells don't stick together. Add shells and cook according to the directions on the box. Drain.
- In a large skillet saute onion in a little bit of olive oil.
- Add meat and season with salt, pepper and Italian seasonings. Cook until browned through.
- Remove skillet from heat and stir in cottage cheese.
- In a 9x13 baking dish pour about 1/2 cup of sauce in the bottom of the pan and spread evenly.
- Take each cooked shell and stuff with meat mixture {if the shells break just layer the shells and meat.
- Place in the baking dish so they are packed in close together.
- Top with remaining sauce.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 10-15 minutes.
- Top with shredded cheese and return to oven until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Seeing how I'm stuck in the house this week... Stephen got his COOK BACK!! (well.. for a week anyway) haha

Chicken Tatrazinni
In a large pan saute onion and bell pepper.

Boil spaghetti noodles

Boil chicken and cook until no longer pink in the middle. drain chicken and let cool. Then shred chicken.

Add all of the following ingredients to the pan
except for 1/4 cup cheddar cheese.
1 1/2 - 2 c. cooked chicken, diced, 6 oz. spaghetti, cooked, 10 oz. can cream of mushroom soup, 1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese (-1/4 cup), divided, 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese, 1/2 c. milk, 1/2 c. onions, chopped, 1/4 c. bell pepper, chopped, 1/4 tsp. garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste

Combine together and pour into the prepared baking dish.

Top with remaining cheese and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until bubbly around the edges.
** Which I totally messed up because I thought it said save all of the shredded cheese till the end for the TOP. Now as I am posting this I realize I was supposed to ONLY SAVE 1/4 cup to put on top after. HAHAH oh well.. didn't even notice!

Shoot... what can go wrong when you take your first bite and all you can taste is CHEESE! HHAHA

These two little stinkers finally got another girls night out planned! With Katie living in Houston now.. we dont get to do this very often! :( But.. when we do... we LIVE IT UP! I always have the best time laughing for hours with these girls. :) Jenn and Katie

I was so upset I didn't get to attend baby Lindley's 1st birthday party in Decemeber. Jenn had an amazing BIRTHDAY party that you can check out right HERE!

Katie's sons birthday is coming up in Feb. She was filling us all in on her ideas for baby Quinn's birthday! She's planning to go big too! :) Can't wait to see pics!

Since I missed Lindley's B-day and I wont get to attend Quinn's in Houston. I found them a little something to take home and surprise their babies with! :)

Babies are so fun to shop for! :) I love all the cute stuff!

For Quinn.. I found this soft little saw that when you "SHAKE" it makes this grinding noise that keeps going and going and going! HAHA

I also found these adorable PRAYER bandaids!! They have scriptures that will heal your boo boo's! I just know they will work!

For Lindley... I found this adorable hot pink monkey bow. I just fell in love with it. I have never seen something that CUTE!! It was the only face they had. I couldn't believe it. I hope they will get some more in. I cant wait to see it in her hair!

Katy got them these FUN POP-UP SHAPE BUGS. Over Christmas break my niece, Chloe, couldn't stop playing with this POP-UP toy! SHE was so GOOD at it! I was surprised she could open and close them. so I know THEY WILL LOVE THIS TOY!

Since Jenn and Katie left us at school... US 3 try our best to survive! These are such wonderful girls that make teaching FUN in Frisco! :)

What a weekend with my mom and sis on Saturday! :) Mom's wonderful idea to go GREASY and eat YUMMY! :)
So what better way to do that... oh ya... Lunch at RONNIES BURGERS

Not only do they have BURGERS, but right next door.... (ATTACHED) they have an ice cream parlor that is SO SO SO CUTE! Of course we went in just to have a peep at the desirous (made up word maybe?) flavors of ice cream! Realizing we were in Mid January, I had a MARVELOUS idea for STARBUX! Well, it was a good idea to my mom and I, but my sister on the other hand... is not a fan of COFFEE, so we stood their jealous of her delicious ice cream. :(

UNTIL... we came to our favorite spot! :)

Oh a day with the "TIPPIT" girls! :) If you could only be there. We are so WISHY WASHY! We can change our minds in 3 seconds, laugh our butts off, cry our eyes out, and still LOVE EACH OTHER TILL THE END!!

2 YEARS FEELS GREAT! :)
Stephen and I love love love celebrating things! We love eating out... love having US TIME, and love getting away and being able to do whatever we want too. Deep inside we become little kids and just have FUN in our own little world! While experiencing new things... we always feel we never fit in the places we go or try, but we just laugh and watch the norms of all the people! It's kind of hard to explain... but the truth is... we LOVE TRYING NEW BIG THINGS.. but ALSO SECRETLY HATE IT! HAHA

That probably only made since to my husband and people that know me really well, but LIFE HAS TRULY BEEN A BLAST with Stephen the past 2 year of marriage and I wouldn't change it for ANYTHING! I love him very much! <3

First things first... He started my weekend off PERFECTLY by sending me RED ROSES up to school on Professional Developing Day! They always make me feel so SPECIAL!

Then Brendin, our school ART teacher, made a cartoon drawing for me! I've never had a cartoon picture before and was super ecstatic about it! I definitely plan on getting a FRAME for it! :) This is "doodle art" for Brendin. She wasnt even sitting by me. We were in meetings all day and she got bored. :) THIS JUST AMAZES ME! :) She brought it up to me during a break and said. Happy Anniversary Tasha! THANK YOU BRENDIN SOO MUCH!

After school Stephen drove us to our "surprise" HOTEL! He kept is a secret last year, and did it again this year! :) I LOVE SURPRISES but then again.. I hate the anticipation !! I begged him to just tell me when we were almost there, but he insisted on me WAITING! grrrr.. but I'm glad he did when we finally got there! HAHA The secret place was....

After we got there we took some pretty cool pictures of our room. and then got ready for the big dinner at the SPINNING BALL!

About 3 years ago Stephen took me to the Reunion Tower (spinning ball) to celebrate the fact we had been DATING for 2 years! HAHA We thought it was time to RETURN. It just happened to fall on our 2 year anniversary of being MARRIED! :) Funny how things work out! Look how much we have changed! :)

Soon after we visited we heard they were closing it down for about a year or so to REMODEL and make some change. We were super excited for our ROMANTIC FANCY RETURN this year! Our reservation was for 8:30 at the Reunion Tower.

Ok! So ready for the REVIEW!! "Was the Reunion Tower just FABULOUS???
Well... not really? It wasn't at all what we expected! We were thinking ROMANTIC, QUIET, and FANCY just like it was the last time we went! :) Well, NOT THIS TIME!
It was now the "HIP" spot to hang out. It was loud, more casual/dressy with a Asian decor twist to it, along with a new ASIAN MENU! Yes.. that's RIGHT! (CONFUSED))??? I was too! :) HA

Were we disappointed??? not really! We both left with a smile and even laughed it off. Stephen even looked out the window as we were eating and spotted a McDonald's and asked me if I wanted to stop by for a 10 piece nugget! HA REALLY?? YES.. REALLY! We didn't stop and get nuggets, but we did stop and get a shake and a Mcflurry! :) (LIFE AS A ROSS) HA HA

Anyway... so DAY 2 (we woke up and took a tour of our hotel)....

We stopped here for some quick breakfast.

AND... the famous mirror & chair we both hope to have in our house one day! :)

but the coolest thing about our hotel was it's restaurant "NANA'S" on the 27th floor! That is the place where Stephen proposed to me 2 years ago. :) We got the chance to go back up there and take some pictures including the SPECIAL BENCH!

I really wanted a picture with both of us on it, and just so happened a random man walked by us. :) LIFE IS GOOD!

Overall our ANNIVERSARY weekend was PERFECT! :) I loved every part of it. :) I have such a wonderful husband for thinking about me and us during this time! Celebrating is AMAZING... but living day to day with that special man is even more AMAZING! :)

ANOTHER FAMILY TRADITION!
This year I wasn't in Wichita for my mom and I's annual New Year shoe sale shopping spree! I was a little sad I wasn't back in Wichita until I realized I was in the SHOPPING TOWN with a BRILLIANT, BETTER and EVEN BIGGER DILLARD'S!
How could I possibly be sad at this amazing opportunity! haha
Just kidding... of course it would of been 100% better with my mom!!! But I did find some CUTE CUTE CUTE SHOeS!

ALL FOR JUST 80$$$ Even the Steve Madden Tan shoes I have been wanting for 2 years was included in this price! All I can say is AMAZING!

Here are my new black "SCHOOL" flats. :) These are solely dedicated to school only! I learned very quick in my 1st year of teaching... pumps are just undoable while trying to train 1st graders. :( So flats come and go very fast in the Ross house. I'm not to picky when it comes to flats... throw a little animal print with them and I'm SOLD! HA

Anything with JESSICA SIMPSON stamped on it.. I LOVE!!! Not sure what it is... but It's just my kind of STYLE!

And.... HERE THEY ARE LADIES AND GENTLEMAN!! I wanted these SOOO BAD.. These were the last pair and they went to ME!! Every person in there was asking me where are those.... what size are those.... and it just made me want to buy them even MORE! HAHA WHY IS THAT GIRLS???

Overall I had a pretty good shopping trip this New year... but next year I plan on going with MOM! :)

P.S. She got the J.S. tall black boots I got for Christmas, but she paid 75% off! HAHAH SAD... but she is GOOD! :)

to watch the Cattle drive we've heard about for many years! BOY were we disappointed! HA I guess we imagined 100 cattle bulleting down the street with a cowboy following them, throwing a rope in the air yelling AHya... ahya!!!
Little did we know...
Let's just say this was a GREAT picture!haha There really was only about 12 cattle that walked about 2MPH! HA

If you are a fellow blog follower then you know that Stephen is a DUKES OF HAZZARD fanatic. Like re-watch every episode during his FREE-time and quote them in his everyday language! As we were walking down the Stockyard strip Stephen calls out "BOSS HOG" and we looked up and sadly enough I knew what he was talking about! HA-HA (now living with him for 2 years). So of course I had to get his picture with it.

On our way home to celebrate the ball dropping and drink our sparkling cider we stopped by ZOE'S italian restaurant to get some dinner. Neither one of us were hungry after eating pounds of meat from Hard 8 BBQ in Grapevine for lunch.

But.. it was still fun drawing on the table with crayons. I'm so easily entertained. :)

FINALY MAKING IT HOME... we turned on the TV and I got to play with one of my new Christmas presents from my sister....

It makes the CUTEST LITTLE BABY CUPCAKES EVER!! :) I made tons of them... and kept eating them for 3 DAYS! HA

Then I made sure everything was set up perfect for our 2011 NEW YEARS TOAST!

This is the BEST STUFF EVER!! I had it for MANY MANY YEARS! It was a tradition in our family when I was a little girl! So of course I had to continue it! :)

This year we decided to stay in Frisco for New Years so we FACE-TIMED my family and brought in the NEW YEAR together the TECH WAY! HAHA

My sister and I decided to start our very own family ornament exchange party this year. It was our first and it was a BIG success! It was so fun getting our grandma, aunt, mom, Stephen's mom.. Ginger, my sisters husband's mom... Sue, all together for a little Christmas fun. We hope to do this every year.

We had FAMILY, FOOD, and FUN games. Apparently thats all you need to make sure this family has fun. We can't wait till next year. I have to give my sister big credit for opening her home and decorations and providing half the food. She worries about making it perfect.. and because of her it ALWAYS DOES!! :)

For our game... we played the "Wright Family Game". The host usually reads the story and the people playing the game get to pass a gift around the circle. You have to listen to the words of the story... every time you hear the word "right, you must pass it to your right. Every time you hear left, you must pass it to your left. At the end of the story...whoever it ends on... WINS the gift.

Have you ever been Letter Boxing? Do you know what it is??
Well.. I got the chance to participate in one this week on our PORT ARANSAS VACA! My sister-n-law has found a new love for this game and I jumped right in on the HUNT! :) well sort of!

LetterBoxing: You pretty much go to the website and look for locations where people have hidden some type of tupperware box with a stamp and notepad inside. You take your notebook and stamp to this location and follow the clues to find their box. Once you find their box you "stamp" your stamp inside their notepad and write your name inside and where you are from, and then take their stamp in the box and stamp it in YOUR NOTEPAD! After you did all these steps you put their notepad and their stamp back inside the Tupperware and RE-HIDE IT :) Pretty neat hu?

We traveled around to 3 different locations in Port Aransas looking for these STAMPS & notepads following all the clues but we were not having much luck until we came to our 3rd location.
We had to break a tree, remove tall grass, and try not to get bitten from a snake! :) While I'm standing in the background getting bit by ants! HA ha
It was CRAZY.. but I was so happy ANNIE finally found the box! She stamped and collected their stamp... then we all decided to leave all of our thumb prints inside their notepad letting them know it took ALL OF US to find their box! We laughed, complained, laughed some more, and sweated... but dag gummit... we FOUND THE BOX! HA

We got to stay home this weekend and we decided to make a fun "DOWN TOWN" Saturday out of it!! We started around 12 and had a good ol' time eating and visiting the JFK museum! It's about time we got down there to see it! People travel from all over just to go to that museum! :) Wish I had more photos of this weekend, but my camera was dead. WOW... is all I could say today when saying yes to COKE at PEI WEI for lunch! I have become a FAN of Pei Wei's over the past month, but today I became it's NUMBER ONE FAN! :) HAHA And.. it's all because of their NEW COKE MACHINE! ha ha

I spent hours working on this book from our cruise,and it finally came in! :)

Now with digital cameras today I tend to leave all my pictures on my camera or on my computer... I thought about printing them off and making a scrap book... but I decided to stick to the digital scrapbooking and create this book! I have never created one of these books before! First time for everything... I think that is why it took so long... but it was worth it!!!

This book is 42 pages, but I will only give you a preview! it would take forever to put my whole book on here! HA

STEPHEN'S DREAM CAME TRUE...

Most of you know that Stephen has been brought up in the air conditioning world. His dad owns Trinity Air Conditioning back in Wichita Falls, where Stephen worked for many years. Stephen has been working in the air conditioning business for over 12 years now. It is honestly something he finds ENJOYABLE! He loves to talk "AIR CONDITIONER"! Yes.. I sometimes get tired of hearing it.. but I know he LOVES IT! I have had to learn to give in a little and just let him do what he loves to do.

This past weekend Stephen got to put in a brand new air conditioner in our house. Also known as a "CHANGE OUT" I heard this word used a lot this past weekend and have now stored it in my new vocab! :)
But... was something wrong with our air conditioner??? uh.. NO!!
I think Stephen just believes if "HE" puts in a "LENNOX" air conditioner, he will have the best AIR CONDITIONER IN THE WORLD! :)

I just see a MESS...

After watching him and his dad and brother work their magic this past weekend... IT'S NOT AN EASY PROCESS! This is HARD WORK...

Pre-Marriage to an Air Condition Man - "The big box on the side of your house"

Post-Marriage to an Air Condition Man - "It's more like crawling around an attic with BIG SILVER tubes called "duck work", building boxes as stands for the other part of the air conditioner, cutting holes in ceilings for sucking air in and spitting air out, wiring things to a thermostat, and trying to stay hydrated while working in an attic when its 109 degrees outside!" :(
I think I would be considered a PRO Air Conditioner WIFE now! :)

He also did something that makes this whole process even more difficult.. HOW DID HE DO IT? NOT SURE! HAHA
But... he moved our air conditioner that was in our attic to the inside of our garage. easier access.. I GUESS?

Ok.. I have been SEARCHING and talking to my hair dresser for some time now about a new HAIR DO!
I just keep telling her I need to think about it and do some research..... mmmm....

Well.... I remember I grew my hair long for my wedding.. and HAD my mind made up after the wedding I was CUTTING IT OFF! Sure enough... I DID! I went pretty short.... then I decided I WANTED IT LONG AGAIN! I do have that hair that GROWS LIKE A WEED! Some say I'm lucky because it grows so fast, but I say I'm BROKE because it grows so fast. Highlights every 4 to 5 weeks is BIG BUCKS! HA

I'm just at that point for a CHANGE.. this is what I have come up with! I still don't know when I'm going to do it.. but right now... I'm just talking myself into it! HA

That's right... FROZEN GRAPES! They are so freakin good! My mom and sister and I used to do it all the time when we all lived under one roof! HA You don't by them frozen! You buy them fresh and freeze them over night and pull them out when you want a yummy snack while watching your favorite show! That's usually the time I grab them out of the freezer... because I love to EAT AND WATCH TV! HA I don't know why, but I always need something to munch on! These last a long time.. because they are so COLD! That way you aren't packing on those calories and rushing to the pantry every 5 minutes to fix the crave! HA

This little 8 year old girl Ellie died of cancer this week. She was a beautiful twin. more photos
As I read her story, I felt my heart pour out for Ellie and her family. Tears streaming down my face as I read how strong her mom was during this time. How courageous this little girl was as well. I was not able to move really... and could not stop reading till I read her entire journal of Ellie's last days. That's right.... Grannie called me today from Houston with GREAT NEWS that made me even more proud of my CITY!
Apparently the HOUSTON CHRONICLE says....

Among cities with more than 100,000 residents, four of the top 10 that experienced the greatest percentage increase in population were in Texas: Frisco, McKinney, Round Rock and Lewisville.
The population growth was tabulated from July 1, 2008, to July 1, 2009.
Frisco, a wealthy suburb of Dallas, saw a 6.2 percent population spike, making it the fastest-growing big city in the U.S.

Patio Stones SUCK! :) ha That's what we learned from the Ratliff's, as they call us one night asking for HELP! Shoot.. I don't blame them! These things weighed a freakin TON! After Katy and Matt worked there tails off loading and unloading 60 of these things on their own... we finally showed up! THERE WERE 150 in ALL! Well.. pretty much all we did was switch out KATY AND STEPHEN! ha

You see... us girls took over the cooking and the boys did the HARD WORK!

But.. hey I lifted one of those things.. and I DONT SEE HOW KATY DID 60 of them the day before! THAT IS CRAZY!

AND... This is their cute new dog IZZY! (Yes.. I made a nice comment about dogs)! :)

This is a CUTE EMAIL I recieved from a parent of a student I had my 1st year of teaching. Due too being a small world... I HAVE CHANGED THE NAMES! I found this email VERY ADORABLE and so true for MANY parents out there. This is a typical situation I can see myself in one day in the future. I am most positive that my mom has been in this situation with me before. :) I thought I would share...

Mrs. Ross,

I hope you are enjoying your summer break. It sure is a hot one! Sorry to bother you during your vacation but "BRITTANY" is very upset that she left her plant at school and wanted me to email you to ask if you would take care of it for her. She has been bugging me since school got out to write you so I finally told her that you took her plant home and planted in your yard. She seemed happy with that but now she keeps bugging me to ask you how her plant is doing. She is very persistent!! So I thought I would at least write so I could feel less guilty about lying to her. :-)

"BRITTANY" is also very excited because she finally has her first loose tooth. That's her big news for the summer so far.

Again, I hope you are having a wonderful summer break. See you in the fall!!

This email just MADE MY SUMMER! I love this little girl and I feel BEYOND AWFULL but.. the plant was thrown away by the clean up crew! :( I wish I would of kept it, because I have a husband that LOVES WATERING the yard and new plants. He would of kept it alive for little "BRITTANY"!

I FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow.. how amazing was this book! I really got into it like I do with my TV SHOWS! It was like watching Laguna Beach or the HILLS!

Then the last line of the book left me hanging for more... COME TO FIND OUT... SHE WROTE ANOTHER ONE!! AHHHHHHHHHH

"SWEET LITTLE LIES" I can't wait to get it for a GREAT POOLSIDE READ! :)

Happy Father's Day... DAD! :) I have to give it up to OLIVE GARDEN! It was the most relaxing enjoyable meal we have had in a long time. We got to just eat, laugh and chat ALL NIGHT! It wasnt rushed or anything!

I had a great time with the family and MY DAD! :)

The famous CRACK CARD... we will just keep this between the family! HA HA

WE LOVE OUR DAD and... CHOCOLATE!!! We learned this habit from our FATHER! :)
